Once again a few of us joined with St John's for the annual church weekend away at Swanwick.

A number of us enjoyed a weekend together which included teaching, fun, games, walks and fellowship. The weekend was organized jointly  with St John's.

As part of a lead up to a week of reaching out to the area with the good news of Jesus Christ we had a fun day.

Christ Church Celebrates its first Anniversary - October 2003

Christ Church was one year old in October 2003 and to recognize this event we held our first ever anniversary service.

Christ Church opened by the Bishop of Birkenhead - October 2002

Christ Church welcomed hundreds of local people to the open afternoon on Saturday October 12.

At 4pm, the Bishop of Birkenhead, the Rt Rev David Urquhart (pictured, centre, beside the Archdeacon of Chester, the Ven. Donald Allister), preached at a commissioning service at St John's before leading the congregation down the road to Christ Church.  The service concluded inside, and was relayed by loudspeaker to those who could not fit in the building.

Next morning, the first Sunday service took place and the minister preached on 'what kind of church?' from Acts 2.42-47.  We are thankful to the Lord for such a wonderful start!
