Minister of Christ Church Greenbank - Rev James Hughes

James Hughes is Minister for Christ Church and Associate Vicar for the Parish of Hartford and Greenbank which includes St John's Hartford and Christ Church Greenbank.

James moved to Hartford with his family in 1986 and then moved away in 1999 to go to theological college. Now he's back in the area after four years training for the ministry, and after a curacy in Virginia Water, in the heart of Surrey. James has been married to Kirsty since 1997, and they have four children - Sarah, Noah, Caleb and Elijah. James plays football and cricket, and enjoys growing vegetables.

Christ Church shares its Lay Readers and Church Wardens with St John's Hartford - there are more details on St John's website. One of the wardens, Alistair Coney, is a regular member of Christ Church.

Churchwardens are elected annually, and are the senior lay leaders within the church. Alistair has served since 2008.
